Q "We replaced a workstation computer in our office and I cannot find my Amicus Attorney Small Firm software disk to reinstall this workstation. How can I get a replacement?"
A First, do not use the software disk to reinstall an Amicus Workstation (or install a Timeslips workstation, or install a Practice Master workstation). If you use the software disk to install a workstation, you will be creating a whole new database THAT WILL NOT CONNECT TO YOUR EXISTING DATABASE.
Always check with your software consultant before installing or reinstalling workstations. You'll save a lot of time and hassle. Oh, Gavel & Gown, developers of Amicus Attorney, will send you a replacement disk.
Q "How do I create an "all-day" activity in Practice Master."
A When creating an all-day calendar event, make sure the category is "event." Then enter the Begin Time as 12 am and the End Time as 11:59 pm. The event will appear at the top of your calendar for that day.
Q "I discovered a slip in Timeslips with a timer running and I am unable to turn it off!"
A Press Control F5 to shut off your own timers. If that does not work, press Alt+F5 to shut off all timers. If that does not work, a Data Verification will need to be run.

Q "HELP! Our firm recently upgraded from Microsoft Office 2003 to Office 2007 and we are lost! Where can we find help?"
A I am right there with you!
Microsoft has a couple of WONDERFUL helps:
An
Excel spread sheet you can download that lists ALL the features in Word 2003 and where you will find them in Word 2007. I use this every day!
ALSO, IntelliWord teaches a 6-hour, Oregon State Bar-approved Word 2007 (or Word 2003) course, either on line via the internet or on site. E-mail us for a class outline.
